  • Attach the special tool to the hub and tighten the nuts, then set the special tool in a vise and secure it.
  • Pry the spindle nut stake away from the spindle then remove the spindle nut
  • Remove the special tool then remove the pulser using a commercially available bearing puller

  • Separate the wheel bearing from the hub using the special tools and a hydraulic press. Hold the hub to keep it from falling when pressed clear.
  • Remove the outboard bearing inner race from the hub using the a commercially available bearing puller. To prevent damage, make sure the threads are fully engaged before pressing. Wash the bearing and hub thoroughly in high flash point solvent before reassembly. Replace the bearing with a new one after removal

  • Press a new wheel bearing in to the hub using the special tools and hydraulic presss
  • Install the pulser and make sure the pulser engage with the pin on the spindle

  • Attach the special tool to the hub and tighten the nuts, then set the special tool in a vise and secure it
  • Tighten the new spindle nut to specified torque, then stake the spindle nut shoulder against the spindle

bearing replacement

  • Remove the special tool.
